First K-pop Concert Experience

One of the happiest moments of my life took place on the 17th of February 2024. On that day, the world-famous K-pop girl group, IVE, held their first concert in Malaysia at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil. On that day, IVE were not the only people who experienced something for the first time, as it was also my first experience going to a K-pop concert.

When the date for the concert was announced, me and my sister were ecstatic as we were both huge fans of IVE's music. It is quite uncommon for girl groups of IVE's caliber to include Malaysia in their tour list. Most reputable girl groups often skip out on touring Malaysia entirely to focus on bigger markets. We both knew that there was no guarantee that IVE would come back to do a show here another time, so we made sure not to miss out on the opportunity to watch the group perform their biggest hits live in concert.

It was a surreal experience walking into the arena and seeing the stage setup. We got an amazing view of the entire stage from our seats, and we were in shock at how near we were to the actual stage despite not getting floor seats.

I had tons of fun watching the show. It felt surreal hearing the songs I listened to countless times in my room and my parents' car being performed live by the original artist. The concert was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever.
