MINI ME
By Mia❤
I remember waking up to cartoons on weekend mornings, the excitement of playing outside until sunset, and how a simple ice cream could brighten my whole day. I cherished my tiny world where scraped knees were healed with a hug, and a bad day could be fixed with a bedtime story. The world felt safer, lighter... kinder.
Now that I’ve grown older, things feel different. The responsibilities are heavier. There’s a quiet pressure to be someone, to chase goals, to meet standards. Sometimes, it feels like I've lost a part of that carefree joy I once carried in my pocket like a small treasure.
Adulthood teaches you things childhood never warned you about like how hard it is to balance emotions, or how sometimes you can feel lonely even in a crowd. It’s a bittersweet journey, growing up. You gain strength, wisdom, and independence, but lose a bit of innocence along the way.
Still, I hold on to “Mini Me” deep in my heart, the little version of myself who believed in magic, laughed for no reason, and loved unconditionally. Whenever life gets too loud or overwhelming, I close my eyes and visit that part of me again. It reminds me that it’s okay to slow down, to smile without a reason, and to keep a little piece of childhood alive, no matter how old we get.
Because that little me… is still me.

awwwww, so cute
