Knick-Knacks in South Korea
By Han,
Last Christmas, me and my family went on a dream trip to South Korea! We spent a good couple of days exploring tourist attractions in Seoul and managed to find many interesting trinkets during our many shopping trips.
One of them was this bizarre slime toy. I found it at a store in Namdaemun Market that sold many toys and accessories. It is essentially a cup of slime that has a keyring attached with a picture of the famous idol Jang Wonyoung from IVE inside. It's a silly concept for a toy but if I saw it at a store as a gullible kid, I'd probably buy one too.
Then I went K-pop album shopping at Music Korea located in Myeondong. The store was a lot of fun to look around because I got to see a lot of albums from a bunch of underrated K-pop groups and artists whose albums are rather difficult to find in local Malaysian outlets. I bought an album by a boy group called 'The Wind', that came in the shape of a little notebook keychain with pictures of all the members.
This version of the album didn't come with a physical CD but instead a digital version of the album that can be acquired through a QR code printed on the back of one of the photocards.
During my trip to the convenience store, I came across this canned beverage with a picture of Chuu from the K-pop girl group, LOONA! I often saw her promote the drink on her YouTube show and was pleasantly surprised to see the drink in person. I didn't buy it, because although the design looks very cheerful and bright, it is a peach-flavored alcoholic drink. I don't think my parents would have approved of that.
never ever been to korea, its a dream of life
