The photo above was taken the first time I held my nephew, Harith Adiff, after a week. On the day he was born, I didn’t dare to hold him because I had zero experience with babies and honestly, I knew how fragile their little bodies are. So yeah, I was scared at first.
After a few months of not seeing him because I went back to study, I came home during semester break and saw how much he had grown. Man, this kid is growing up so fast HAHAHA. His body wasn’t as fragile as before, and I started feeling more confident holding him or even tossing him up a bit. The photo above was taken when he was 5 months old. He already knew how to give cute little reactions, so it was easier for me to handle this tiny human. I even made him watch a rugby match on my phone.
This one was taken during Harith Adiff’s first birthday. I told you, this kid’s growing up way too fast. I came back for the weekend just to attend his first ever birthday party. At this age, I was lowkey annoyed because he still couldn’t walk yet, meaning I couldn’t boss him around just yet HAHAHA. But it’s all good, at least he started eating a bit of grown-up food. Before this, it was all baby food. I may or may not have fed him a little bit of Maggi even though his mom told me not to.

This photo was taken when he was 1 year and 7 months old. By this time, he was already super cheeky, not only could he walk, not only could he eat normal food, but now he was the one bossing me around, deciding where he wanted to go. And yep, he started stealing my food too. Carrying him also started to feel heavy already. And don’t even get me started on his farts, they smelled like someone who’s been eating eggs every day for a week. He’d grown so much by then that we could even wear matching baju melayu outfits.

And this was taken during his 2nd birthday and the most recent photo of me and him. He can already talk a bit now, saying stuff like “acu acu acu sit, acu sit, acu play, acu play” on repeat, non-stop. But it’s all good, now that he’s at this age, I can finally boss him around. Since he moved into his new house with a pool, all he ever wants to do is swim. Non-stop pool time for this fella.
To future Adiff, if you’re reading this blog someday, just know your Acu is out here trying to find your future aunty (okay just kidding). Always listen to your mummy and daddy, especially mummy. I know she can be a bit strict sometimes, but that’s because she’s the eldest child, just like you. One day, you’ll understand why she’s like that. Good luck in life, Adiff!
Adiff, if you really need an aunty, find me🗣️🥰
