Fahrin – The Crazy Head That Never Knows Peace
By Syamil
Alright, so Fahrin like I mentioned in the 5 Musketeers blog, we didn’t really know each other at first. It all started when Wan and Luqman brought me along, and then in Form 2, Fahrin and I ended up in the same class. The photo above was taken during that year and honestly, that class holds some of the wildest memories for me.
Back then, Fahrin and I were kinda at the back of the academic ranking in school. So naturally, we were surrounded by the “naughty kids” group. And well, both of us were the type to just go along with everything… until Fahrin became the leader of the chaos. We were so naughty that we made teachers cry, burned warning letters for skipping school, got our heads shaved, and even got sent to the discipline room.
I’m kinda grateful that I wasn’t in class that often because I was always out for rugby training. Fahrin? The moment he found out I wasn’t coming, he wouldn’t show up either. He’s the one who actually burned the warning letter HAHAHA. I also had a two-month break from school because of a broken arm, so I had a legit medical excuse. Fahrin though? He just followed his own rules. He did show up sometimes… but you could literally count the days on one hand 😆
Fahrin’s family also runs a kambing golek (roast lamb) business. Luqman actually started working with them since Form 2, and by Form 4, I started tagging along too. At least it helped me earn a bit of pocket money for school.
During Form 5, I ended up following Fahrin’s habits instead. He’s always been the type to follow his own rules whether he wanted to come to school or not. That year, I started feeling super lazy and stressed too, since it was our SPM year. I’d leave home wearing my school uniform, ride my motorbike, then somewhere along a back alley, I’d change into casual clothes and swap my shoes for slippers. After that, I’d call Fahrin and be like, “Bro, let’s hang at your place” AHAHAHAHA.
We’d just chill at his house watching anime, getting free food and drinks, until eventually I got slapped with a warning letter too 😩. But Alhamdulillah, we both still managed to qualify and get our SPM certificates. One of us is now working, the other’s furthering his studies. Somehow, we turned out to be functioning adults… kinda.
Even now, Fahrin’s chaotic energy is still going strong especially now that he has his own money. Please pray that this man finally gets himself a motorbike and gets married someday.
Oh, and one more thing, we both share a weird obsession with collecting perfumes. Every time one of us buys a new bottle, suddenly we both act like professional fragrance reviewers.
Lowkey he seems pretty cool !
