KUALA LUMPUR:THROUGH MY LENS

Kuala Lumpur isn’t just a city,it’s a living, breathing canvas, and I love capturing it through my lens. Recently, I set out on a personal photo journey, one that started in the quiet early hours of the morning and stretched into the stillness of night. This time, I wanted to see the city in two of its most magical moments: sunrise and midnight.

My day began at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, one of the most serene spots in the city. I arrived just before dawn, when the skies were still deep blue, and the city was slowly waking up. There’s a calmness there that you rarely find in KL. As the sun started to rise, warm golden rays began to reflect across the lake, casting soft light over the skyline. I snapped shot after shot, trying to preserve the quiet magic of that hour. The silhouette of the city behind soft mist and morning light made every click worth it.

Photography in the morning feels different. It’s not just about the light, but the feeling,the beginning of a new day, a fresh start. Titiwangsa gave me that. Locals jogging, birds gliding over the water, and the subtle sounds of nature mixing with the distant hum of traffic,it all created this perfect moment that I was lucky to capture.

Later that day, I decided to experience the city from another angle. I headed to Dataran Merdeka, this time after sunset. The atmosphere was completely different,buzzing with street lights, quiet shadows, and the occasional breeze that carried stories of the past. I wandered around, letting my camera guide me. I found myself drawn to the architecture, the textures of old buildings, and the way light reflected off the pavement after a drizzle.

That night, I didn’t rush. I just stood there, soaking it all in. Kuala Lumpur through my lens is more than just buildings and lights,it’s a city full of contrasts, stories, and soul. From sunrise in the calm of Titiwangsa to the electric energy of midnight at Dataran Merdeka, every photo I took told a part of KL’s story and mine too.
